Global Missions Ministry

Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:19-20)

The Global Missions Ministry is founded on the Great Commission. Since 2003 we have traveled to other nations to spread the love of Jesus Christ. Presently we have ministries in Burkina Faso, Jamaica, Nicaragua, and Haiti.  (more…)

Music Ministry

The Music Ministry seeks to minister to all through artistic expressions exhibiting the character of Christ. It is a vital part of the worship experience and provides a creative space for people to utilize their God-given talents.
The Music Ministry embraces a blended, sacred music style that includes praise songs, gospel, spirituals, hymns, anthems, jazz, and classical. The ministry also includes liturgical dance. (more…)

Social Justice Ministry

Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. (Psalm 82:3)

In accordance with our Biblical mandate, the mission of the Social Justice Ministry of Nineteenth Street Baptist Church is to lift up and support those in society that cannot do for themselves. The definition of social justice is to ensure equal access to wealth, opportunities, and privileges within a society. Our ministry is tasked to raise awareness and generate support for social justice issues within the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. (more…)

Youth Ministry

We are blessed to have a vibrant Youth Ministry that engages youth in the church and in the community through multiple programs, services, and activities. Our Youth Church and Church School programs are tailored to meet the spiritual needs of youth of all ages. Youth also serve in a variety of ministries such as the Usher Board, Liturgical Dance Ministry, and Music Ministry. They help lead worship services.
